Art Gallery Co-op and Renovation, Fairbanks, 1985-1986:
This project included 3 main parts: the renovation of an older historic building, the design of a new art gallery co-op along the lines of a Tanana Indian log pole house, and the landscaping of the large site. Historical investigation into indigenous Tanana Indian building designs produced the log pole house design. The older building was completely surveyed and drawn up and will see further renovation in the future. The landscape plan is extensive, creating a total atmosphere that will appeal to both the Native Association and the public.
